Resolution dismay

It is New Year’s Day. I am in two minds whether I make a new year’s resolution (or plural), or face the fact that whatever I resolve to do I will find too difficult by mid January.
Resolutions are strange things, promises to yourself that you vow to keep. The problem is that you are not accountable to anyone else but yourself. Of course that “should” make the promise all the more important.
In the past I have made resolutions, mostly to do with health, but I find that my willpower is not strong enough to follow through with most of them. Life tends to get in the way of my resolutions.
Do you make resolutions? Do you keep them? I’d love to know what your resolutions are and why you think they are worthwhile having. Perhaps I will be inspired to resolve to keep a resolution….
I do aim to read more and write more this year, so perhaps that will be my “resolution”.
